Course Platform NZ | On Your Own Domain | YourHQ
Learning Hub · An add-on for YourHQ sites, or standalone

Your Course. Your Platform.
Actually Yours.

A private course platform on your own domain. Your branding, your students, your Stripe. Built by someone who spent 15 years getting people to actually finish their training.

The course platforms have a dirty secret.

Two, actually.

The first one is about money. Every course platform rents you a room in their house. Kajabi starts around $250 a month in real terms and raised prices on every plan in January 2026. Skool takes 10 percent of your sales on its cheap plan. Others clip 2 to 5 percent of everything you earn, forever. The moment your course succeeds, your platform bill grows with it. That is the platform tax, and you never stop paying it.

The second one is worse. Most online courses never get finished. The platforms don’t talk about completion rates because hosting your course is their job, and whether anyone gets through it is your problem.

I built the Learning Hub to fix both.

A real course platform.
On your domain. In your brand.

The Learning Hub lives at learning.yourdomain.com and looks like the rest of your website, because I build it to match. Your students get their own login, see only the courses they’ve bought or been given, watch your videos, download your workbooks, and tick off their progress as they go. They can even install it on their phone like an app.

You get an admin dashboard where you run the whole thing yourself. Add a course. Invite a student. Reset a password. See exactly who’s logged in, how far they’ve got, and who’s gone quiet. No developer required for the day-to-day. That’s the point.

For your students

  • Their own login, their own progress
  • Video lessons and downloadable workbooks
  • Only the courses they’re enrolled in. Nothing they’re not.
  • Works beautifully on a phone, installable like an app

For you

  • Add courses and modules yourself, anytime
  • Invite students, reset passwords, switch access on and off
  • See progress, logins, and completions at a glance
  • Sell with Stripe or keep it invite-only. Or both. It’s a toggle.
  • Lock modules in sequence, drip them weekly, or leave everything open

Built by a learning designer. Not just a developer.

Here’s what nobody else on the comparison sites can say.

Before I built websites, I spent over 15 years designing and delivering learning. Systems training across 13 sites. Instructional design for a 1,400-person energy workforce. When I piloted a microlearning platform with operational field crews, we hit over 80 percent engagement. If you’ve ever tried to get field crews excited about digital training, you know exactly what that number means.

So the Learning Hub isn’t a shell you fill and hope. Sequential unlocking, weekly drip, progress tracking. Those aren’t features I copied off a pricing page. They’re how completion actually happens, and I chose them on purpose.

Anyone can host your course. I’ll help you build one people finish.

Got the knowledge. Not sure how to make it a course?

This is the part most people get stuck on. You know your stuff cold. Turning it into modules that flow, hold attention, and get finished is a different skill. It happens to be the one I did professionally for 15 years.

Course Shape takes your raw expertise and turns it into a course structure ready to record. I map your content into modules with clear outcomes, sequence it so momentum builds, and script what each video needs to cover. You record in your own voice. I load it all in.

Structure, sequencing, outcomes, video briefs. You record, I load.

Two ways in. One platform.

With a YourHQ Website

$1,800 NZD + GST setup

+$99/mo NZD + GST on your care plan

Your hub matches your site exactly, because I built both. Setup includes your branding, your subdomain, Stripe checkout, email from your domain, and your first course loaded.

Standalone · your website lives elsewhere

$2,400 NZD + GST setup

$179/mo NZD + GST

Your website stays exactly where it is. Rocketspark, Wix, Squarespace, wherever. I match your branding, connect the subdomain, and your current site just links to it. One DNS record. Nothing breaks, nobody’s upset.

Founding rate: the first five standalone clients lock in $149/mo. For life. When they’re gone, they’re gone.

Annual option: pay for ten months, get twelve.

Your monthly care fee doesn’t change and you don’t pay it twice. Care keeps covering your website, exactly like it does now. The $99 is for the hub only, because the hub is its own thing: its own hosting, its own private database holding your students and their progress, and its own email sending from your domain. Two systems, one bill, no overlap. Your website’s hosting is never charged twice.

What the hub monthly actually covers.

Everything the hub needs to run, all in. Hub hosting. Your own private database, where your student accounts, enrolments, and progress live. Email sending from your domain, so welcome emails and password resets come from you, not some generic address. Security, backups, Stripe monitoring, platform updates. And me. When something needs doing, you message me. Same as always.

That covers up to 250 active students. Past that, your hub is doing serious work and the database and email costs grow with it, so the monthly steps up by $50. You’ll never find out from an invoice. I’ll tell you before it happens.

The maths
isn’t subtle.

Say your course earns $50,000 a year. On a platform taking 2 to 5 percent, that’s $1,000 to $2,500 gone every year, on top of the subscription, forever. On the Learning Hub you pay Stripe’s standard fee and nothing else. No platform tax. No per-student charges. No surprise restructure like the one Kajabi dropped on its customers in January 2026.

And if you’re on Rocketspark: their members feature puts everyone behind one shared password with the same content. It cannot give buyer A course A and buyer B course B. The Learning Hub can. That’s the whole difference between a password-protected page and a real course platform.

You’ve already built
something real.

Maybe you’re a coach, a consultant, a practitioner, or you train people in your trade. You’ve got real expertise, an audience that trusts you, and a course that deserves better than a rented platform.

If you’re still testing an idea, honestly, start on a cheap tool. No hard feelings. When you’re ready to own it and stop handing over a slice of every sale, I’ll be here.

Learning Hub FAQ.

I’m already paying a monthly care fee. Am I paying for hosting twice?

No. Your care fee covers your website, same as always, and it doesn’t change. The hub monthly covers the hub: its own hosting, its own database, its own email. They’re separate systems doing separate jobs. Nothing overlaps and nothing is charged twice.

Will this break my existing website?

No. Your website doesn’t change at all. The hub lives on a subdomain (learning.yourdomain.com) and your site links to it. Your current provider never even needs to know.

Do I need you to add a course or a student?

No. The admin dashboard is yours. Add courses, upload workbooks, invite students, reset passwords, check progress. All self-serve. I’m here for the stuff beyond that.

Can I sell my course and also give free access?

Yes. Each course can be paid through Stripe or invite-only. Sell one, gift another, run both at once.

Can I make students finish module one before module two?

Yes. Each course can be fully open, sequential, or dripped weekly from enrolment. Your call, per course.

Where do my videos live?

On your own YouTube (unlisted) or Vimeo account. You own them, you can swap them anytime, and upgrading to locked-down Vimeo hosting later is a paste-a-link job.

What about community features?

The hub handles courses, content, and payments, and does them properly. If community becomes your main product, we’ll talk about the right way to do it, whether that’s something I build alongside your hub or a dedicated tool like Circle sitting next to it. Either way it’s a conversation, not a hard no.

What if I leave?

Same deal as everything I build. Your domain, your content, your student data. Full export, clean handover. Nothing held hostage. Ever.

Ready to own your
course platform?

It starts the same way everything here starts: a free 20-minute chat, or the contact form if you’d rather write. Tell me about your course, and you’ll get a written proposal for your hub. Your numbers, in writing, no surprises.
